With hybrid and remote work an increasing norm—leaders face a critical challenge: how to build meaningful, high-impact relationships with their teams with limited in-person interaction. Showing up and sharing intentionally is more important than ever.
Academic research explores the leader “exchange” of resources to “supporters” and the multiplier potential of leader behaviours cascading across an organisation. In a recent project I explored academic findings / insights to inform how leader engagement can enhance team dynamics, boost performance, and foster mutual support. A great starting point is reflecting on the resource menu you have and how you can more deliberately deploy these. Put another way, actively considering how you can elevate your leadership exchange rate!
